About Piazzolla Tango Show:
The most beautiful tango theater in Buenos Aires is an underground opera built under the first skyscraper of South America, a luxurious venue with red velvet and golden lions, where the Piazzolla Tango Show is danced, a compact performance that perfectly combines the two styles of the tango and the two most recognized tangos worldwide, the traditional or classic Tango and the Tango of Piazzolla, both very well performed and danced.
The Piazzolla Tango show has a chorus line that performs the style of Tango stage elaborated choreographies and figures, carrying very well the symmetry and composing very picturesque images in height. The main dancers stand out for their versatility and their acting as well as enjoying from the beginning to end even in dances of hard physical effort. The whole group also takes the tango to the floor with very good level and it is to emphasize the quality of each “finale”.
The orchestra is a high-level sextet featuring the first violin and the first bandoneonist, who pulls out applause with their interventions throughout the show. It is a sextet that can do the classic tangueros and the classics of Piazzolla, which faces them in different ways, on the one hand runs some of them with absolute fidelity. On the other the sextet takes advantage of the virtuosity of the soloists, making interesting variations. The two singers complement each other in their styles, both with great vocal power, she with a more “slangy” style and him with a more melodic style. The duet is unforgettable for the sweetness and the acting that both compose wisely. Piazzolla Tango Buenos Aires also takes advantage all the space that provides an opera of this level, so the soloist lady will appear through different boxes and side entrance extending the stage space while he takes advantage of the generous distance between tables.
For dinner Piazzolla Tango Buenos Aires has a very good service with a three steps menu and three options for each one, including the traditional chorizo steak and the “empanadas” (local meat pie), we recommend the steak and a cream soup of pumpkin as main and entrance, plus the chocolate dessert for the end.
Piazzolla Tango Show offers optional tango classes with no charge that are given by the main dance couple in the adjoining lounge, which like the main hall, is an architectural jewel of Art Nouveau.
Piazzolla Tango, where all forms of Tango beats in red and gold.
